Description

This 19,000 SF Library sits in downtown Berea and houses approximately 50,000 books.  It will serve people of Berea and Madison County for the next 15 to 20 years.  An interesting program element in this project is the idea of a "Sitting/Reading" porch, which softens the building and invites the public in just like the large porches of older American homes.

This project earned a “Build Kentucky Award” from the Associated General Contractors of Kentucky for best projects of 2008.
